Campus Diversity

Standard

Georgia Southern isn’t in a location that fosters diversity too well. Since moving to Georgia, I was not exposed to nearly as many cultures as I was back home in New Jersey. Still, I’m impressed with the number of international students we house as well as students from different cultural backgrounds. There needs to be more events that allow us to interact more with each other. It is way too easy to for all the diverse groups on campus to only interact with those they are comfortable around. As college students, we need to make a more concentrated effort to have experiences we normally wouldn’t have outside of college. Instead of having to travel to different countries, we have many countries’ representatives here.
